Trackball Not Working or Feels Stuck

Check for dust buildup, reseat connections. 

  1. Turn off and unplug machine 

  1. Take off the back panels  

  1. Unplug all wires from the PCBA on the back of the screen as well as the ribbon cable to the control deck 

  1. Remove the screws holding down the control deck 

  1. Take control deck out of cabinet and flip over 

  1. Take the 7 screws off on the back holding the plastic covering 

  1.  

  1. Now that the track ball and wires are exposed 

  1. You should be able to see the bottom of the trackball 

  1. Remove the plastic covering the bottom of the trackball (4 screws) 

  1.  

  1. Now the box housing holding the track ball is lose 

  1. Keep wires connected 

  1. Use a flathead screwdriver and pry open the locks on both side of the housing  

  1.  

  1. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the track ball and the rollers or use compressed air 

  1. Put the plastic covering back on for the rack ball 

  1. Take note of the orientation when you take off that covering it WILL NOT go back on unless it is in the correct orientation Move this note to the top. 

  1.  

  1. Put trackball in the control deck and screw the 4 screws in  

  1. Put the control deck covering back on (7screws)  

  1. Put control deck back in the cabinet 

  1. Screw control deck into cabinet (4 screws) 

  1. Plug in all wires again 

  1. Put back panels back on 

  1. Plug in 

  1. READY TO PLAY
